The Indianapolis Colts were clicking on all cylinders in Week 1, and as a result, they blew the Miami Dolphins out with a 33-8 win. The offense finished the day scoring on every drive, and the defense made life hell for the Dolphins' high-powered offense.
It was the type of win that makes you miss a player like Shaquille Leonard, who showed all of his emotions on the field. He would have had a blast in Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. And while he isn't with the team anymore, that isn't stopping him from supporting them on game day.
Big INT LFG!!!

Before yesterday, Leonard's most recent post on X occurred in early February of this year, so eight months ago. That post also covered Indiana sports, specifically the Indiana Fever. He broke that hiatus on Sunday with posts celebrating the Colts defense as a whole (that you can see above) and individual shout-outs to Kenny Moore II, Nick Cross, Deforest Buckner, and Michael Pittman Jr.
Seeing Leonard still support the Colts after his time in Indianapolis ended so abruptly is nice to see. The Colts shocked the NFL world with their choice to release him in the middle of the 2023 season after injuries became too much for the All-Pro LB to overcome. But I guess it shouldn't come as a shock with him literally showing up for the Indianapolis community the very next day at a planned charity event.
#Colts LB Shaq Leonard joked that he felt like Craig from the movie “Friday” since he got cut on his day off, but he still showed up to pass out turkeys to the Indy community for Thanksgiving.

Seeing injuries derail what had the makings of a Hall of Fame career will never not be heartbreaking. Leonard was a special player who always found a way to make a game changing play for the Colts during his time representing the horseshoe. He may not be rocking the jersey or wearing the helmet anymore, but it's nice to see him still rooting on the Colts and his former teammates.
