The world of football has had its fair share of issues in recent weeks. A couple of weeks ago, a Green Bay Packers player faced trouble after he brought a gun to New York.

On Friday, police arrested Dallas Cowboys safety Markquese Bell for possession of substances and marijuana. Besides the players, insider Dianna Russini put herself in trouble after somebody spotted her holding hands and hugging New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel.

Another head coach joined Vrabel as the star of another scandal. Police arrested a former NFL player on Saturday for driving under the influence in Texas.

On Saturday, reports of Columbus Aviators coach Ted Ginn Jr.’s arrest for driving under the influence surfaced. The veteran was arrested on Saturday afternoon in Tarrant County, Texas.

“We are aware of an incident involving Head Coach Ted Ginn Jr. over the weekend and are in the process of gathering more information,” UFL president & CEO Russ Brandon told WSYX. “Offensive coordinator Todd Haley will handle the head coaching duties for the Aviators game on Sunday.”

Ginn, who turns 41 tomorrow, joined the Aviators in December 2025. The team has a 0-2 record in the 2026 season. Todd Haley will serve as interim head coach this week, James Larsen reported.
