Former NFL GM Proposes 3 Trades That Could Send Micah Parsons to a Super Bowl Contender

Several premier players have yet to begin practicing due to contract disputes, but none are more important right now than Micah Parsons.

Parsons is entering the fifth and final year of his deal. After making the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons, playing 13 or more games every year, and recording at least 12 sacks each season, he is understandably seeking a long-term extension to become one of the highest-paid pass rushers in the NFL.

However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his son Stephen Jones have not budged, and the season is just over three weeks away.

Amid the drama, Parsons requested a trade just over two weeks ago, stating he "no longer wants to be a Dallas Cowboy." While a trade currently seems unlikely, former NFL general manager and ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum proposed three bold moves that could land Parsons with a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

3 Trade Proposals for Micah Parsons

The first would send Parsons to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Ed Oliver and two first-round picks. Tannenbaum said, “If I’m Buffalo with Micah Parsons, we can go beat the Chiefs, we can go beat the Ravens and get to the Super Bowl.”

His second proposal would send Parsons to the Detroit Lions for a first-round pick, two second-round picks, and Brian Branch. “If I’m the Detroit Lions with Micah Parsons and Aidan Hutchinson, we’re going to the Super Bowl,” Tannenbaum mentioned.

The final proposal would send Parsons to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for Bucky Irving, Vita Vea, and a first-round pick.

It still seems like a long shot for the Cowboys to move on from Micah Parsons at this time, especially given Jerry Jones’ insistence that he isn’t being traded.

That said, with each passing day that Parsons remains off the field, the team’s potential this season could be impacted. He is arguably the most important player on the roster, alongside Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.
