In the years since his retirement from the NFL, former All-Pro running back Marshawn Lynch has gone into acting, getting a number of roles in high-profile shows and even a few movies. But the latest show to give him a role might be one of the most popular he's even been a part of.

On Friday, HBO announced that Lynch will be a cast member for the upcoming season of HBO's hit series Euphoria. Joining Lynch for the season will be Rosalia, Kadeem Hardison, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace.

"I'm hella juiced about the show and getting a chance to work with the people in front and behind the camera,” Lynch said, per HBO. “At the end of the day, I'm just thankful for the opportunity."

Euphoria is a teen drama starring Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney and has garnered numerous accolades in its two-season run thus far. It's won two Emmys and several dozen other awards while earning praise for the acting, story, visuals, and approach to mature subject matter

Lynch usually portrays himself in TV shows and movies such as The League, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and 80 for Brady. But he has earned some acclaim for original characters he's played in shows like Westworld and Bottoms. He has several other movie appearances in the works.

Lynch started his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills and made a Pro Bowl in 2008. However, he really emerged as a megastar during his run with the Seattle Seahawks in the 2010s, making four straight Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams while leading the league in rushing touchdowns twice.

Lynch won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2013 and finished his NFL career with 10,413 rushing yards and 85 touchdowns.

What kind of role do you predict Lynch will have on Euphoria?
