Former Rams QB Earns Major UFL Honor

Bryce Perkins is proving that persistence pays off. The former Los Angeles Rams quarterback has been named to the All-UFL team, earning recognition as the league’s top signal-caller after an impressive season with the Michigan Panthers.

Perkins, who made his first NFL start for the Rams in 2022 against the Chiefs, has found new life in the UFL. Though his NFL career never fully took off, he’s making the most of his opportunity in the spring league. In just seven games, he threw for 1,342 yards, nine touchdowns, and only two interceptions, finishing fourth in the league in passing yards.

But it’s not just his arm that’s turning heads, his mobility has been a game-changer. Perkins rushed for 269 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, with his longest run going for 31 yards. His ability to extend plays and make things happen with his legs has made him one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the UFL.

Another former Rams quarterback, Luis Perez, led the league in passing yards with 2,298, but Perkins’ efficiency and dual-threat ability earned him the top quarterback honor. His performance has sparked speculation that an NFL team could give him another shot this summer.

Even the Rams, who currently have Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo on the roster, could consider bringing Perkins back as competition for the third spot behind Stetson Bennett. While that scenario seems unlikely, his success in the UFL is hard to ignore.

Regardless of what happens next, Perkins has shown he can still play at a high level. His journey hasn’t been conventional, but his resilience is paying off, and his latest honor proves he’s far from done.
