The Denver Broncos have reshaped their offense throughout two seasons. With Bo Nix at the helm at quarterback and RJ Harvey the new leading running back in Denver, the offense is drastically improved.
From the view of a former college teammate of both Nix and Harvey, the duo will be "one of the best" in the NFL in 2025. In an article from Luca Evans of the Denver Post, Kobe Hudson, a former teammate of Nix and Harvey, shared his thoughts on the new Broncos quarterback and running back duo.
"They will be like," Hudson said, "... one of the best quarterback-running back duos in the league, I believe, this year coming out. Like, first year [together]."
Nix is entering his second year in the NFL, and Harvey will be in his rookie season. But despite the duo being in their first season together, Hudson sees the duo as one that can be among the best in the NFL.
In Nix's rookie season, he was third in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting and had an overall incredible year. He threw for 3,775 yards with a completion percentage of 66.3. Nix also threw for 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, culminating in a passer rating of 93.3.
Harvey's final year of college was also great. He had 1,577 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns, which tied for fourth in FBS. Harvey was also a solid receiver, hauling in 20 receptions for 267 yards and three touchdowns in 2024.
Around the NFL, there are plenty of great quarterback and running back duos. Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens are the two standouts.
Despite the tough competition, Hudson believes that his former teammates can not only be great together, but also be among the best quarterback and running back duos in the NFL in their first season together.
