Giants’ Daboll Reacts to ‘Fire Everybody!’ Airplane Banner

The New York Giants' woes continued on this week as they fell to the Baltimore Ravens 35-14 on Sunday. And adding to the ugliness? Another flyover above MetLife Stadium with an airplane pulling a banner with a plea to Giants owner John Mara.

"Mr. Mara enough - we won't stop until you fire everyone".

This is the second flyover banner in as many weeks for the Giants, as prior to their 14-11 loss to the Saints last week, a banner flew over MetLife with the message “MR MARA ENOUGH — PLZ FIX THIS DUMPSTER FIRE.”

The Giants seemingly struggled to find inspiration from the aerial pleas, as Lamar Jackson had his way with the Giants' defense. Jackson completed 21 of 25 pass attempts, racking up 290 yards and five touchdowns. Jackson also ran for 65 yards on six attempts to add insult to injury.

The Giants, already on to their third starting quarterback of the season, had to turn to yet another unlikely suspect, as Tim Boyle had to take over under center after an injury to Tommy DeVito. To his credit, the journeyman did connect with Malik Nabers for Nabers' first touchdown since Week 3.

In response to the calls for his firing from the sky, Daboll said,Yeah, just control what we can control."

Looking ahead, Daboll is getting "ready to play a game this week” after a Giants loss that marks their ninth straight failure.

Despite some exciting young players on both sides of the ball, the Giants have struggled to find any sort of consistency or production. The lowest scoring offense in the NFL, the Giants average less than 15 points per contest, and surrender 23.4 per game, a bottom 12 mark.

The Giants' regularly-scheduled humiliation moved them to 2-12 on the year. They close out the season with a trip to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, then their final home bout of the season against the Indianapolis Colts, and then a celebration of the new year in Philadelphia against the Eagles.

The Giants are in prime position to land a top pick in next year’s NFL Draft so long as they keep up their impropriety on the field … and maybe someday there will be banners flying to celebrate success.
