New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was having a phenomenal rookie season through the first eight games. The 23-year-old totaled 101 carries for 410 yards and five touchdowns. He also had 24 receptions for 207 yards and a pair of more scores in the air.
Skattebo became the Giants' starting running back when Tyrone Tracy Jr. went down with an injury. He made five starts, including his first four, when he averaged 74 yards on the ground per game.
His rookie year came to an unceremonious end on Oct. 26 in a 38-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, when he suffered an ankle injury that will hold him out the rest of the season.
Skattebo has been busy since undergoing surgery to repair his ankle. On multiple occasions, he has taken to Instagram to tell fans he was live-streaming playing video games on his Twitch account.
Over the weekend, he showed fans that he was at UFC 322 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He then appeared at MSG again at the WWE "Monday Night Raw" event at MSG.
While there, he got into a scuffle with WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio.
With this, Skattebo made an announcement on Instagram about a collaboration with the WWE to sell shirts.
Skattebo provided a link where fans can buy three different shirts with varied designs of Skattebo, his No. 44 and the WWE logo.
While Giants fans have missed their star running back on the field, his presence has definitely been felt off of it.
New York, which has gone 2-9 so far this season, will play again without Skattebo as the Giants take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
