On Sunday night in front of a prime time audience, the New York Giants put together another uninspired offensive display, managing just nine points in a 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener.
With the loss New York slid to 0-3 on the season and head a chorus of boos from fans.
"I'd be booing too, to be honest with you, in terms of not being good enough, not scoring, not finishing. I understand that. That's the nature of it," head coach Brian Daboll said after the game. "We got to be better."
To add insult to injury, the team lost starting running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. to a dislocated shoulder.
"It's tough when you see a guy like Tracy, one of your star running backs, go down with a shoulder on the sideline," quarterback Russell Wilson said after the loss. "Had a good couple runs, couple of good plays. So I think that was tough for us, but I thought we continued to battle throughout."
On Tuesday, Sept. 23 ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed Tracy is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with the injury, meaning his return would likely come against the Philadelphia Eagles in either Week 6, Denver Broncos in Week 7 or Eagles in Week 8.
