The Green Bay Packers have been mentioned in trade ideas involving Dallas Cowboys superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons. As the standoff between the Cowboys and Parsons continues, and with him already publicly asking Dallas for a trade, the former Penn State Nittany Lions star has been linked to other potential landing spots.
It remains to be seen how the saga between Parsons and the Cowboys will conclude, but there is no denying that he is no longer happy with his situation in Arlington. The Cowboys don’t seem like they’re entertaining the idea of trading the four-time Pro Bowler, but that won’t completely keep the speculations from swirling, including those linking him to the Packers.
“I would expect the Packers to be among the teams really interested,” Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network recently said . “They have paid Jordan Love, they have a bunch of really good young players, but there’s some guys they haven’t paid. They have money to spend, and they are really good. So that’s the kind of team that I would say if Micah was going to be traded, that he’d be going to. We need one final piece. This guy is an absolute dog. He’s worth all the money, so pay him all the money…but it’d be worth it, because you get Micah Parsons.”
Last year, the Cowboys, who went 8-0 at home in the 2023 NFL regular season, suffered a 48-32 loss in an NFC Wild Card game to Jordan Love and the Packers at AT&T Stadium.
Following the game, Parsons and Jones had an emotional moment in the locker room, as captured by a video.
Jerry Jones in Netflix’s “America’s Team” series talking to Micah Parsons in the locker room after the 2023 playoff loss to the Packers: “It’s a disappointment, but it wasn’t because of you.”

In that game, Parsons only had two total tackles and a quarterback hit. The Packers did a great job protecting Love, as he was not sacked at all, while he threw for 272 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions while going 16-of-21.
