Hall of Fame QB Drug Joe Burrow Into Appearing on Netflix Series

The Netflix series Quarterback was an instant hit with NFL fans, as it gave them a sneak peek into what goes in to being a quarterback at the highest level, whether that be on the family side or the game side.

Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow was asked to be one of the players focused on in the first season of the show, but he refused.

But now, he will be appearing on the second season, and he cites the show's executive producer as the reason he changed his mind, and that just so happens to be Hall of Fame field general Peyton Manning.

"A big part was Peyton being involved in it," Burrow told reporters in a recent press conference. "I have a lot of respect for him, obviously. What he did, does, as a person, when that guy reaches out to you and asks you to do something... most of the time I’m going to say yes."

Manning himself spent 17 years in the NFL, and is considered by many to be a top three quarterback in the league's history. So if there is someone who knows who would be interesting on a show about quarterbacks, it is him.

Burrow will join Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins, who is returning from season one, as well as Detroit Lions star Jared Goff.

The second season of the fan-favorite series will be out very soon sometime in July, as the specific date has not yet been announced.
