The city of Chicago was buzzing after the Bears’ 31-14 beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The victory marked not only the team’s first win of the season, but also the first career win for rookie head coach Ben Johnson.
The 58,389 fans who packed Soldier Field had plenty to cheer about, but the celebration didn’t stop there. On Tuesday, Bears fans across the city can enjoy free hot dogs, courtesy of a local business, in honor of the win and the stellar performance of second-year quarterback Caleb Williams.
When asked about the promotion on Monday, Williams smiled as he reflected on both the big victory and the city’s creative way of celebrating.

It started with, ironically, a Chicago reporter from The Athletic named Dan Wiederer asking the question:
"You ever been to Wiener Circle?"
Williams promptly responded:
"I have not. But I've heard about this. The four touchdown thing? Is that what you are talking about? Yeah, congrats, everybody. You got free hot dogs!"
So, at this point, everyone is wondering. How did Williams actually provide free hot dogs for the city of Chicago? On Friday morning, a local business named "The Wieners Circle" sent out the following tweet:
"If Caleb throws 4 TDs on Sunday, we will give away free hot dogs on Tuesday."

Needless to say, this promotion is shaping up to be an expensive tweet for the local business, which has been a staple of Chicago’s Lincoln Park district since 1983. Known for its signature char-grilled fare, the spot is especially famous for serving “the works”, a grilled Vienna Beef hot dog on a warm poppy seed bun, topped with mustard, onions, relish, dill pickle spears, tomato slices, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt. It doesn’t get more Chicago than that.
On the field, Caleb Williams delivered the type of performance that makes free hot dogs taste even better. The second-year quarterback went 19-of-28 for 298 yards and four touchdown passes. He spread the ball around to four different targets, including Luther Burden Jr., who hauled in his first score of the season. Rome Odunze, D.J. Moore, and tight end Cole Kmet also found the end zone in the dominant win.
The celebration will be short-lived, though, as Chicago now turns its attention to Week 4. The Bears will hit the road for a matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders, looking to keep the momentum rolling.
