The biggest story coming out of the NFL Scouting Combine so far is the Starbucks altercation between insiders Jordan Schultz and Ian Rapoport.
According to those on the scene, Schultz confronted Rapoport at the Starbucks at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon. Their beef stems from conflicting reports on Tom Brady and the Raiders' pursuit of star quarterback Matthew Stafford. Schultz allegedly "accosted" Rapoport, who called for NFL security, per Pro Football Talk.
“It really isn’t anything too much," Schultz told PFT in a statement. "Ian Rapoport and I had a verbal confrontation. It lasted a little over a minute. Multiple agents and reporters were nearby. Rapoport was the one who called security shortly after, but it never escalated further.”
This afternoon, Rapoport addressed the incident during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."
Detail-wise, he didn't provide many, saying that the story that's circulating is basically what happened.
"Last night when it all broke, everyone in the world texted me wanting to know the details," Rapoport said. "It was all out there. Florio basically had the whole thing and there's not much to add. Then, I woke up this morning and everyone in the world has texted me."
Rapoport declined to answer if he and Schultz will shake hands before leaving Indianapolis, and when Rich Eisen joked that he'll have to frequent other coffee shops, Rapoport made a reference to Dunkin' Donuts.
This was likely intentional, as Dunkin' is Starbucks' biggest competitor. Schultz isn't just someone who likes the coffee at Starbucks; his father Harold was the company's longtime CEO.

We're not surprised things came to a head between Rapoport and Schultz.
It's not just that the two reported different things about the nature of Brady and Stafford's recent meeting in Montana; Rapoport also took a pretty clear shot at Schultz on X/Twitter.
Even in the offseason, the NFL never lacks drama.
