The Indianapolis Colts are kicking off the 2025 season at home with their Week 1 matchup vs. the Miami Dolphins.

They took the practice field on Wednesday in preparation for the game. Every player currently on the active 53-man roster participated, and only one player was limited on the day. So, all things considered, the Colts are in a fantastic spot health-wise ahead of the season opener.

Colts Week 1 Wednesday injury report

The only player appearing on the team's first injury report of the season is backup RB Goodson. He suffered an elbow injury in the team's final preseason game, and many believed he would be forced to miss some time to start the year as a result. The team even recently worked out a couple of RBs, which only increased the doubt surrounding his status for Week One. Seeing him already out on the field is a pretty significant development, as this gives him a chance to be active for the season opener after all. The Colts have Goodson listed with rookie DJ Giddens on the unofficial depth chart ahead of the game. So having him active would be a big boost for the Colts, who would like to take at least a portion of the rushing snaps off Taylor's plate.

Another significant development is the fact that the Colts didn't feel the need to list CBs Kenny Moore II and Jaylon Jones on the report at all. Both have been dealing with injuries, and their status for Week One was an important one to monitor. Not being listed on the injury report means the team believes both are good to go, which has the Colts' secondary at full health despite losing third-round rookie Justin Walleyto a torn ACL . The Dolphins, on the other hand, had a fairly lengthy opening injury report with 12 names listed and three players missing practice altogether. The most notable additions to their injury report are starters RB Devon Achane, tackle Austin Jackson, and WR Tyreek Hill, all being limited participants on the day.
