During the second quarter of Sunday's Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a brutal injury after a blow to the head from linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair.
As Lawrence gave himself up on a QB slide, Al-Shaair lowered his shoulder and delivered a cheap shot on the defenseless signal caller.
Lawrence immediately went into the fencer pose, signaling a significant traumatic brain injury. After a few minutes, the 25-year-old quarterback was able to sit up. He was then carted off the field at EverBank Stadium.
After just a few moments in the locker room, the Jaguars officially ruled Lawrence "out" with a concussion.

Al-Shaair was issued an unnecessary roughness penalty and ejected from the game following his hit on Lawrence. The cheap shot sparked a massive brawl between the division rivals, which resulted in several other ejections.
With Lawrence out, primary backup Mac Jones took over as the Jaguars' quarterback for the remainder of the contest. Jones is currently the only active quarterback on the Jacksonville roster.
