Philadelphia Eagles rookie defensive tackle Ty Robinson is already making a strong impression just a few weeks into his NFL journey, including star defensive tackle Jalen Carter.
"You seen him yet? That boy fire, I ain't even gonna lie," Carter said. "He’s moving good. He’s a big boy. ... He’s here and he’s working. I think he’s going to have a big impact this season."

"You seen him yet? That boy fire, I ain't even gonna lie. He’s moving good. He’s a big boy. ... He’s here and he’s working. I think he’s going to have a big impact this season."
That kind of praise from a rising NFL star like Carter speaks volumes. Robinson, the Eagles' 2025 fourth-round pick out of Nebraska, has been standing out early in OTAs thanks to his size, hustle, and how quickly he’s picking things up at the pro level.
The Eagles are hoping he can be part of their defensive line rotation right away, and if Carter’s early read is any indication, Robinson might be more than just a depth piece.
Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 310 pounds, Robinson wrapped up an impressive 2024 final season with the Cornhuskers, starting all 13 games and setting career highs with 37 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks. He also added four pass breakups, a blocked field goal, and a safety, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors along the way.
Robinson's addition gives Philadelphia a valuable boost on the defensive line, helping fill the void left by Milton Williams' departure in free agency. But his impact might not stop there. If the Eagles want to get creative, he could also contribute as a red-zone weapon like he was at Nebraska.
In his final season at Nebraska, Robinson wasn't limited to defense, he also played eight snaps at fullback during short-yardage situations, which resulted in the Huskers scoring touchdowns on seven of those plays with him lined up in the backfield.
If that can translate to the next level, then Robinson will become an extremely valuable weapon for Philly.
