The Cincinnati Bengals closed out the 2024 NFL regular season on Saturday night in a must-win game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With their playoff hopes coming down to the final week, the Bengals came through and picked up the victory.

Led by the Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase duo, Cincinnati edged out the Steelers 19-17, keeping their postseason dreams alive for at least another day until the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins take the field.

For Chase individually, the stakes were just as high. The fourth-year wide receiver had a chance to extend his lead for the NFL’s receiving triple crown—leading the league in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.

While he had a solid cushion in yards and touchdowns, his lead in receptions was just eight coming into the game over Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Chase ended the night with 10 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown, finishing the regular season with 127 receptions for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns.

After the win over the Steelers, Ja’Marr Chase hopped on social media to react to him being on the verge of history. Pending Sunday’s games, he’s now all but guaranteed to become the NFL’s first triple-crown winner since Cooper Kupp did it in 2021 and Steve Smith Jr. did it in 2005.

"APTTMH," the fifth overall pick in 2021 wrote.

APTTMH is likely to mean All praise to the Most High.

Chase also became the only player in NFL history to record 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns in a single season.
