Chase and Cincy endured a frustrating offensive night. Denver bottled the Bengals' vaunted air attack to 106 yards in the 28-3 romp. Chase especially got limited on the receiving end -- settling for five catches for 23 yards.
Jake Browning manned the quarterback duties for the Bengals amid Joe Burrow's injury. He still struggled developing chemistry with Chase.
However, the verbose wide receiver swiftly addressed the exchange between himself and Taylor.
Chase fired off two separate tweets on the social media website X, formerly Twitter. He laughed off what fans were thinking about that sideline scene.
"Man y'all better leave me alone man," was Chase's first post in responding to the viral moment.
Chase wasn't through, pounding out one more post.
"I play with passion," Chase reminded his fans, while ending that post with the "Who Dey" hashtag.
Chase left many fans wondering if the AFC champion wideout finally reached a boiling point with his head coach and team. But he's downplaying it and calling it having passionate emotions for winning.
He even told reporters "sometimes emotions take over" and how it becomes a part of the game.
Chase's fierce conversation with Taylor wasn't the only major postgame topic.
His Bengals have taken consecutive romps to drop to 2-2 overall. Plus have combined to score only 13 points in the defeats against the Minnesota Vikings and Broncos.
Is there a sense of urgency already? Chase answered that question via Mike Petraglia of ESPN 1530.
"Urgency is there but you’ve got to want it. Today, it didn’t look like we wanted it," Chase said.
He adds the Bengals need to get better at getting first downs. Especially during the third and short scenarios.
Chase, Taylor and the Bengals now get a red-hot Detroit Lions team next Sunday at Paycor Stadium.
