Jauan Jennings saga might be down to two teams

The San Francisco 49ers didn't need much time to move on from Jauan Jennings.

Mike Evans took a pay cut to take his talents to the Bay Area, and with most big-name wide receivers signing elsewhere, Jennings is running out of options. However, with the first two weeks of free agency in the record books, it shouldn't be much longer before he finds a new home.

According to Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, multiple teams could make a run at him in the following days, starting with the Tennessee Titans.

Titans and Chargers make the most sense for Jauan Jennings

"The Titans employ former 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh as their head coach. As previously mentioned, second-year quarterback Cam Ward could use more talent on the perimeter. Jennings would be great for the young signal-caller," Knox wrote.

The Los Angeles Chargers also have somewhat of a Niners connection. Former Niners offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel has joined Jim Harbaugh's coaching staff, and they also need a veteran pass-catcher.

"Jennings would also be a sensible replacement for Keenan Allen for the Los Angeles Chargers. L.A. could use a possession receiver and employs former 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel in the same position," added Knox.

Jennings may have priced himself out of multiple teams. According to Spotrac, his next contract is projected to be three years and $67.84 million, with an annual average value of $22.6 million.

That might be a little too rich for a former late-round pick who dealt with shoulder, ankle and rib injuries last season, even if he had 643 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
