Jemele Hill Accuses The NFL Of Extreme 'Hypocrisy'

Former ESPN star Jemele Hill is accusing the NFL of extreme “hypocrisy.”

On Thursday, the NFL announced that San Francisco 49ers star pass rusher Kyle Juszczyk had been fined close to $15,000, for doing a “beer chug” celebration during Sunday’s win over the Miami Dolphins.

“Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter.

Juszczyk, whose nickname is “Juice,” said that he’s been doing the chug celebration for years. However, it’s a juice chug, not a beer chug. The 49ers star told Adam Schefter that he doesn’t even drink beer.

Many in the sports world have accuse the NFL of being hypocritical. The NFL makes a ton of money off of alcohol endorsements, after all.

Jemele Hill is among those calling out the NFL for extreme “hypocrisy.”

NFL fans agree with Jemele Hill

“They also sponsor water and Gatorade. Where is he indicating he’s drinking an alcoholic beverage?” one fan wrote.

“Total hypocrisy. NFL fraudulence begins at the top with Goodell. The officiating is beyond atrocious, and now that betting is legal, it’s becoming very obvious,” one fan wrote.

“I think the player’s should collectively band together and don’t celebrate whatsoever when they score. Just make the TD and everyone just does a slight jog to the sidelines. Do it all the way through the SB. See what happens then,” one fan added.

“I need to know who’s behind these fines because they have to be bored,” one fan added.

The 49ers star fullback has officially appealed the fine. Everyone in the sports world seems to be rooting for it to get reversed.
