Jeremy Chinn just joined the Las Vegas Raiders this past offseason, but his impact in the community is already being felt.

On Friday, the NFL Players Association named Chinn their Community MVP for Week Three.

Chinn won the award after hosting a kickoff celebration for 90 teenagers dealing with homelessness in Nevada. The event featured a meet-and-greet with Chinn, as well as dinner, an interactive football game and free haircuts. Attendees also received a set of essential items, including clothes and a drawstring backpack.

“Being recognized as a staple in the community is a major honor,” the Las Vegas Raiders safety said. “My charitable motivations come from wanting to uplift, support and inspire young people facing unfortunate circumstances.”

Homelessness has been a major part of Chinn’s life, with his aunt undergoing similar problems during his childhood. Since entering the league in 2020, Chinn has done his part to try and combat the problem.

Chinn has performed similar work in previous stops with the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders. From hosting events to donating money and supplies to local and national organizations, Chinn has done his part to help out the homeless communities in the cities he has played for.

With this honor, the NFLPA is donating $10,000 to the Jeremy Chinn Foundation, the safety’s personal charity organization. Chinn is also eligible to win the Alan Page Community Award at the end of the season, which would come with an additional $100,000 donation.

Chinn has done an excellent job of endearing himself to the community already, and his work is already making an impact in his new city.
