Jerry Jones Admits 'Nothing' Stopping Cowboys From Signing Micah Parsons - Literally

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones can't help but stir things up and make people question whether or not he really knows what he's doing as general manager, but we knew that already.

With Micah Parsons' contract extension issue still not having any sort of movement, much to the disbelief of ex-players, media personalities, and everyone in between, we haven't known what the holdup was in negotiations.

Was it money? Length of contract? Or the guaranteed money?

Well, as it turns out, none of the above.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday in Oxnard (yet again), when asked what is preventing him and Micah from talking, the Cowboys owner gave an answer that will infuriate the entire fanbase.

"Really, nothing,'' Jerry said.

So why don't he and Micah engage in conversation?

"Again, nothing would be that and we might or might not talk and the rest of that gets into what we do every day."

So "nothing" would be talking to Parsons? We get the sense Jerry is talking in riddles, and in truth, this dance is getting old.

Why Jerry and the Cowboys front office haven't engaged in talks with Micah's agent is perhaps the $40 million question, but it appears that Mr. Jones is content with letting this "controversy" play out when he can make it all stop ... if he wanted.

But it is clear he doesn't. Why? The best answer we all can come up with is ... Marketing.

Dallas is the talk of the NFL town because that is what the priority is.

If fans needed any more clarity of where the mind of their owner is, they just got it.

It isn't a focus on football ... and critics now have more ammuntion than ever to argue that it hasn't been for years.
