It appears that good things are happening for the New York Jets and Justin Fields under Aaron Glenn, and fresh off the 30-10 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers, Fields and Co. continued their good form.
Now in the joint practice portion of training camp, the Jets are going against Brian Daboll's New York Giants as they sharpen up their skills ahead of Week 1.
Sometimes teams play their scheme a little close to the vest, but after the first joint practice, Fields liked what the offense was able to do against the Giants' defense.
“Felt good,” Fields said. “I think the offense, we started off good, and then first two periods, I think we did well. I think that second and long period going into third down could have been better, but other than that, I feel like we did all right, but I'm always going to say there's always room to improve.”
So the positivity is flowing through the franchise, and yes, we get it, it's preseason, but the Jets have been starved for this level of positivity for too long.
Even Glenn made sure to let it be known how happy he was with the preseason win, stating a "win is a win" and hopes that it will change the mentality of his team.
While nothing "really" counts in preseason and joint practices, you still want to put good things on film, and it is clear that this Jets team under Glenn, has gotten off to a good start in Year 1.
