Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals find themselves in uncharted territory, at least compared to last season. The 2021 Bengals won three of their first four games en route to a run to the Super Bowl. Sure, they ended up losing to the Los Angeles Rams, but Burrow and the Bengals solidified themselves as bona fide contenders in the AFC.
The start of the season hasn't gone as planned for Cincinnati, however, as the team has stumbled to an 0-2 record to open the year.
That's not to say the Bengals can't pull out of this early-season tailspin. They do have the talent of a Super Bowl contender, after all. Still, it's worth considering the fact that only 12 of the 125 teams that have started 0-2 since 2007 went on to make the playoffs.
The Bengals have an uphill climb ahead of them. There's no doubt about it.
It should be no surprise, then, that Burrow has decided to "go dark" on social media. The third-year quarterback relayed on Wednesday that both Instagram and Twitter have been removed from his phone. He doesn't need to know the reaction's to Cincinnati's 0-2 start or the fact that he's thrown more interceptions (four) than touchdowns (three) so far this season.

He deleted both apps.
"I don't have Twitter or Instagram right now, so I've seen none of it," Burrow said when asked if he's seen any of the reactions to Cincy's rough start, per Dov Kleiman. "I'm sure it's not a very good reaction, but I think it will be a different reaction once we get going here."
Speaking of getting going, the Bengals will try to get one in the win column this weekend against the 1-1 New York Jets on the road at MetLife Stadium in Week 3.
