John Rocker's Strong Message for Patrick Mahomes' Dad After Heated Confrontation

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn't the only one who had a tough weekend in New Orleans.

Mahomes and the Chiefs suffered a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, losing 40-22 in a game that wasn't even as close as the final score indicated. The star quarterback wasn't the only member of his family to make headlines during the weekend, though.

On Tuesday night a video emerged showing Mahomes' father, Patrick Mahomes Sr. in a heated confrontation with former Major League Baseball pitcher John Rocker on Bourbon Street. At one point during the video as Mahomes is being led away, Rocker tossed a drink at the NFL star's father.

Video of the altercation quickly went viral and now Rocker has chimed in. The former MLB pitcher made it clear he was ready to fight Mahomes during the potential brawl during the weekend in New Orleans.

"This [expletive] loser can't take a damn joke. Wish I laid him out right there and ruined his [expletive] weekend even more," Rocker said in the post.

This encounter between Rocker and Mahomes Sr. might just be a publicity stunt. Earlier this weekend Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy hinted at a fight between the two during Barstool's "Rough N' Rowdy" but the paperwork hadn't been signed just yet.

"I don't know, that's why I don't want it to get ripped up," he said. "I think it is! I believe we have a signed agreement for Mahomes Sr to fight John Rocker at Rough N Rowdy."

This could all be a coincidence and money grab - or it could have been a real altercation. Either way, both Rocker and Mahomes Sr. are selling it well.
