If you thought the ongoing saga between star running back Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts couldn't get spicier, think again.
On Sunday night, Taylor shared a fiery response to an earlier report alleging that he was suffering from previously undisclosed back pain, which the Colts deemed a pre-existing injury. In a social media post, Taylor maintained that he never had back pain and didn't report it to the Colts, adding, "Not sure who 'sources' are, but find new ones."

Since Taylor requested a trade from the Colts on Saturday, a lot has happened. Following the shock of Taylor asking out of Indy, Colts owner Jim Irsay had a less than flattering response, coming off as if he viewed arguably his team's best player as expendable. Then, news broke of Taylor's back pain, leading to speculation that the Colts might place him on the non-football injury list, which would allow the organization to withhold his salary.
Someone, somewhere, is telling tales out of school. Whether it's Taylor, the Colt or someone else, remains to be seen. However, it's another bad sign for Colts fans hoping the two sides can patch things up. While a reunion isn't impossible until the Colts pull the trigger on a trade, the likelihood is seemingly dwindling by the day.
Only days ago, the prevailing thought was that Taylor and the Colts would quickly agree to a contract extension before the season. However, things have changed drastically over the last 48 hours and the NFL world can only wonder what the days ahead might have in store.
