Jordan Love’s career year buzz grows after Packers-Cowboys clash

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers started the 2025 NFL season with guns ablaze, as they beat the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders in Week 1 and Week 2, respectively. The good times stopped rolling for Green Bay in Week 3, when the Cleveland Browns pulled off a stunning 13-10 upset. Last Sunday, many expected Green Bay to bounce back against the Dallas Cowboys, but that Sunday Night Football matchup concluded in an anti-climactic 40-40 tie.

However, Love didn’t disappoint with his performance in Week 4. The former Utah State Aggies star passed for 337 yards and three touchdowns on 31-of-43 pass completions. He did not turn the ball over and despite a banged-up Packers offensive line, Love was sacked just once for a loss of 12 yards.

Jordan Love and Green Bay’s passing offense should get better once the team’s offensive line is back to 100% form

One can only imagine how much better Love would have been against Dallas’ faulty defense if Green Bay had a healthy offensive line.

Zach Kruse of The Packers Wire thinks that once Green Bay’s offensive line stabilizes, the Packers’ Love-led air attack could go off. That should also bolster Love’s chances to put together his best year yet in the NFL.

If or when the offensive line gets healthy and has some continuity, the Packers passing game could explode.

Jordan Love from clean pockets this season:

68/78 (85.7%, first) for 838 yards (10.7 yards/attempt, first) and 8 TD passes (third). 140.3 passer rating is second.

Against the Cowboys, Green Bay missed the services of left guard Aaron Banks and offensive tackles Anthony Belton and Zach Tom.

The Packers have a bye in Week 5, offering the team ample time to rest their bodies and for the injured ones to heal up in time for the next game, which is a Week 6 showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field on Oct. 12.
