Kader Kohou OUT FOR THE SEASON with Knee Injury

Mike McDaniel at his media session said Kader Kohou‘s knee injury (partial ACL tear) will keep him out for the entire 2025 season. He is the 2nd cornerback in the first week of practice to be lost for the season with a knee injury.

Artie Burns was injured the first day of training camp with an ACL injury.

Kohou was covering Tyreek Hill early in practice on Saturday, and we went to the ground with some sort of leg injury.

Kohou is going into a contract year where he will be a free agent next offseason, so any injury is not ideal this season.

Kohou will be 27 in November, and this is his 4th season in the NFL after going undrafted out of Texas A&M-Commerce.

During his time in the NFL with Miami, he has played in 47 games, starting 38, and has three career interceptions.

Coming into this year, he was the most proven and experienced cornerback on the Dolphins roster prior to last weekend when Miami added Jack Jones and Mike Hilton.

The moment Kohou went down in practice on Saturday, the Dolphins signed Mike Hilton within an hour or two of that injury.

This led many to speculate that the injury may be serious, and those thoughts were correct.

The Dolphins will now probably look to add another cornerback who is out on the open market.

Rasul Douglas is a name that will be spoken about a lot in the coming days.

Douglas will be 31 in August and is a 2017 3rd-round pick by the Eagles. He has since played for the Panthers, Raiders, Texans, Cardinals, Packers, and Bills.

He has a wealth of experience, having played in 120 games and started 80 of them. Last season, in 2024 for the Bills, Douglas started and played in 15 games. He had no interceptions and 58 tackles.

In 2023,  Douglas split time between the Packers and the Bills. In only nine games with the Bills, in which he started 8, Douglas had four interceptions. In 7 games with the Packers in 2023, in which Douglas started all seven, he had one interception.

For his career, Douglas has 19 interceptions and 441 tackles in 120 games.

If you are into PFF numbers, Douglas had a 59.2 overall grade as a cornerback. Ranked 132 out of 222 corners. He had a 58.9 coverage grade, ranking 127 out of 222 corners.

Douglas played 891 total snaps, and 493 were pass coverage snaps. His passer rating allowed was 123.7, and he allowed 40 receptions.
