Kenneth Walker has had a roller coaster ride to the start of his career, and his dynasty price has fluctuated as a result. With his contract up and no extension in sight, let’s take a look at his price, possible fits moving forward, and what we should do with Kenneth Walker in dynasty fantasy football.

Kenneth Walker III Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook

Kenneth Walker Fantasy History

Walker was the 41st overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. The Seahawks still had Rashaad Penny on the roster, but made a clear move to Walker as the primary back in his first season. He had over 250 touches with more than 1,200 yards from scrimmage in 15 games. In 2023, the Seahawks added Zach Charbonnet to complement Walker, but Walker’s workload didn’t reduce too much. He still had over 1,000 yards and was a top-2o fantasy back in back-to-back seasons. Things were looking good for Walker as a top dynasty asset for years to come.

In 2024, Walker dealt with injuries, and his workload was reduced as a result. He only played in 11 games, and he saw the lowest touch total of his career. The Seahawks used him in a pass-catching role for the first time, but that was short-lived as 2025 saw him return to his normal 30ish targets a season. Barring a monster Week 18, Walker will finish outside the top-20 fantasy running backs in back-to-back seasons after a strong start to his career.

Kenneth Walker 2026 NFL Free Agency and Situation

Walker is an unrestricted free agent, which can result in three different scenarios. First, he can remain with the Seahawks, and we can anticipate a split backfield between him and Charbonnet for the foreseeable future. Second, he could go off to greener pastures. The Dallas Cowboys don’t have any notable running backs under contract for 2026. The Kansas City Chiefs could use an upgrade. Even the Minnesota Vikings could use someone like Walker in a more fantasy-friendly role in the future. Those would boost his dynasty price tremendously.

The third, and least desirable option, is that he goes somewhere to be in a split backfield or just a dreadful offense. The Tennessee Titans will be looking for weapons. There is always a surprise signing that makes fantasy fans scratch their heads. So, we can’t rule out Walker going somewhere silly like the Atlanta Falcons or Los Angeles Chargers.

Kenneth Walker Dynasty Price

Walker is the RB22 on fantasycalc heading into the 2026 offseason. He’s right in line with a late 2026 first and just behind the immortal Derrick Henry. I have him ranked as RB15 heading into the offseason. This is with the expectation that things are most likely going to get better or remain the status quo.

What to do With Kenneth Walker in Dynasty

Walker is a lottery ticket right now. The incoming 2026 rookies for dynasty are pretty light on running backs. NFL teams can either address the position with one of the new guys or they can sign Walker (who has some of the highest missed tackles forced numbers since entering the league) to a new contract and make him the guy for their team. If you believe in Walker as a talent, waiting until rookie fever takes hold but before free agency opens to try and buy him low makes sense. If you think Walker is an injury-prone player who will always be a “what if”, then selling him after free agency would make sense. Either way, making your move based on your personal belief in the player and the timing of free agency is the way to go. I personally believe, and will be happy to send away a late first for him anywhere I need a running back.
