The fine football fans in Pittsburgh have already seen enough of Tom Brady to last a lifetime. As the starting quarterback for the Patriots, his record against the Steelers was 9-3 in the regular season and 3-0 in the postseason (though Drew Bledsoe gets a huge assist on the first AFCCG win). And the three times that Pittsburgh did get the best of him, he went on to the Super Bowl. Playing his first game in the Steel City as a member of the Buccaneers, Brady deserves backing for our top prop selection:
The bet: Over 285½ passing yards for Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (DraftKings)
In those 12 regular-season games against the Steelers, Brady has averaged 312 passing yards. Now he’s on a team that features more weapons – wideouts Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Russell Gage are all relatively healthy – and attacks through the air more often.
Brady is averaging a solid 282 yards per game this season, but he has far exceeded this total in each of the past two contests. He threw for 385 yards versus the Chiefs in Week 4 and 351 against the Falcons last week.
Meanwhile, the Steelers allow 288 passing yards per game, which is tied for the second-highest mark in the league. To make matters worse, they’ll be playing without their three best cornerbacks and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick today.
It’s all systems go for the GOAT.
