Lamar Jackson injury update: Dan Graziano reveals latest on Baltimore Ravens QB

Lamar Jackson has been out of practice to end this week after an injury noted coming out of Wednesday. However, all indications now are that the Ravens’ quarterback is alright as they come towards the end of the preseason.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano shared the latest on Jackson’s status during ‘Get Up’ on Friday. After his foot was stepped on at practice on Wednesday, with an X-ray later done on it, and missing practice on Thursday, Graziano thinks that Jackson will be fine with two weeks until the season starts for Baltimore.

“Lamar Jackson left practice a couple of days ago after getting his foot stepped on. They X-rayed it. Apparently, it came back okay,” said Graziano. “He didn’t practice yesterday, but John Harbaugh telling reporters there in Baltimore that they avoided a major problem.”

“He said prayers get answered sometimes, so it sounds like full steam ahead for Lamar Jackson,” Graziano said.

Again, all things sound good with this from the Ravens. Harbaugh reiterated that point with the media yesterday, with them all being relieved that this wasn’t anything as far as Jackson.

“It was a big relief, yeah,” said Harbaugh. “I told the guys. I said prayers do get answered, because I was prayi ng. I was praying and God came through. So, but, he’s good.”

Jackson is coming off career-best stats in his last campaign as he now enters his eighth season in the NFL. He posted 66.7% completion for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and four interceptions in passing while also rushing for 915 yards and four more scores, leading to a total of 299.2 overall yards per game with 45 total scores. That would earn him his third-ever nod as First Team All-Pro but not for his third-ever honor as NFL MVP, finishing in a close second to QB Josh Allen. Still, per the odds at BetMGM, Jackson comes into this season as the favorite to, for that third time in his career, win Most Valuable Player.

Jackson took the end of the week off from practice as the Ravens make sure about his foot. Still, all sounds right with one of the league’s best with kickoff being just over two weeks out from Buffalo on Sunday Night Football.

“We’ll see when he’s able to get back into practice,” said Graziano.
