Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson made more history during Saturday's Week 18 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
Jackson became the first quarterback in NFL history to have over 4,000 passing yards and 800 rushing yards in a single season after throwing a touchdown pass to tight end Mark Andrews.
That pass extended the Ravens' lead to 14-0 as they're trying to clinch the AFC North title and at least one home playoff game next weekend. The Browns later added a field goal, trimming the deficit to 14-3.
Jackson has had an unbelievable 2024 season and there's a good chance that he'll be taking home his second straight MVP and third overall. He won his second MVP last year even though his numbers weren't as good as they are this year.
He won the MVP last year with 3,678 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions but has blown all of those numbers out of the water this year with over 4,000 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. He has added over 800 yards and four touchdowns as a rusher.
Jackson is having the best individual season of his career and has the Ravens looking like a legit Super Bowl contender heading into the playoffs.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is the other favorite for the award and is also having an All-Pro season with 3,731 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He has added 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
Both are great picks to win NFL MVP and it's surely going to be a close call when the final votes are tallied.
A win on Saturday gets the Ravens to 12-5 and clinches them the No. 3 seed in the AFC heading into the playoffs.
You can watch the rest of this game on ESPN. Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky, and Louis Riddick have the call.
