Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is already one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and he will continue to pass other all-time greats in the 2025 regular season.
Let’s look at eight Lamar Jackson milestones that No.8 could accomplish in his eighth NFL season.
With his sixth start this season, Jackson will become the 110th quarterback to make 100 starts. He will pass players such as 1976 NFL MVP Bert Jones and Super Bowl champion Jim McMahon en route to his 100th start.
Jackson is already second all-time in starts as Ravens quarterback, but he has 69 games to go to catch Joe Flacco for the most. Assuming perfect health and no Week 18 shenanigans, Jackson could tie Flacco as early as Week 1 of the 2029 season.
Jackson is 34 touchdowns away from 200 for his career. In NFL history, only 51 passers have reached the 200-touchdown plateau.
Jackson has thrown for 34 touchdowns twice previously - notching 36 in 2019 and 41 last season. It is not a guarantee Jackson reaches the mark this season, but if he continues his form from 2024, he will make it interesting in December.
2018 NFL Draft classmates Josh Allen (195) and Baker Mayfield (171) could join Jackson in the 200-touchdown club this season.
Jackson is one of only two quarterbacks to have a quartet of perfect passer rating games. Former AFC North rival Ben Roethlisberger also accomplished the feat. Roethlisberger did so across 247 starts, while Jackson has yet to make his 100th start.
Jackson first notched a perfect passer rating in Week 1 of the 2019 season against the Miami Dolphins. He duplicated the feat in Week 10 of that season against the Cincinnati Bengals. After a four-year gap, Jackson fired perfect passer ratings against the Dolphins again (Week 17, 2023) and the Denver Broncos (Week 9, 2024).
Jackson could become the Ravens’ second-leading rusher as soon as his first carry this season. Jackson has 6,173 rushing yards so far, seven yards behind Ray Rice. Rice accumulated over 400 more carries than Jackson has to this point, making Jackson’s pace all the more impressive.
Jackson has rushed for seven or more yards in 97 of his 103 NFL games, including 90 of his 94 starts. Chances are, Jackson will pass Rice in Week 1 in Buffalo.
Jackson is 1,628 yards behind Jamal Lewis for Baltimore’s all-time leading rusher. He could reach this milestone late in the 2026 season or early in the 2027 season.
Jackson could threaten the all-time Ravens mark, but he would have to rush for 12 touchdowns in 2025 - well beyond his career high. The much more likely scenario is a four-touchdown campaign to tie Rice for second-most rushing touchdowns in Ravens history.
Jackson has had four or more rushing touchdowns in five of seven NFL seasons. To pass Rice, he would need five rushing touchdowns, a mark he reached in 2018-2020 and 2023. Last season, he had four rushing touchdowns.
Only eight Ravens have managed to make five Pro Bowls. According to Pro Football Reference, 32 quarterbacks have made five Pro Bowls. The list of five-time Pro Bowl quarterbacks includes Hall of Famers Jim Kelly, Otto Graham, and Joe Namath.
Jackson has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons. He is not a lock given the depth of elite quarterback talent in the AFC, but Jackson would be a solid bet to make his fifth Pro Bowl this season. The only active quarterbacks with more Pro Bowls than Jackson are Aaron Rodgers (10), Russell Wilson (10), and Patrick Mahomes (six).
Jackson would be the fifth Raven to be First-Team All-Pro four times, joining Ray Lewis (seven), Ed Reed (five), Justin Tucker (five), and Jonathan Ogden. If he were to three-peat as an All-Pro, Jackson would be just the fourth Raven to do so. Lewis and Reed accomplished the feat, and Roquan Smith has been an All-Pro in all three of his seasons in Baltimore.
As mentioned in the Pro Bowl blurb, Jackson faces stiff competition for the All-Pro nod. Since 1955, only three quarterbacks have earned four All-Pro selections: Peyton Manning (seven), Johnny Unitas (five), and Rodgers.
Only six players have been named AP NFL MVP three times. If Jackson were to win his third MVP, he would join an illustrious list with Jim Brown, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and the aforementioned trio of Manning (five), Unitas, and Rodgers (four).
Jackson is currently among the favorites for MVP, depending on the oddsmaker. Fellow multi-time MVP-winner Mahomes is also vying for his third MVP, while Rodgers hopes to turn the clock back and win his fifth MVP.
