The Detroit Lions are feasting early on Thanksgiving against the Chicago Bears but they also suffered an early injury.
Defensive end Joshua Paschal was slow to get off the field early in the second quarter after suffering a right knee injury. He appeared to be in quite a bit of pain and struggled getting to the sideline.
The team later announced that Paschal is questionable to return to Thursday's game.
If he's unable to return, Detroit will likely lean more on fellow defensive linemen Levi Onwuzurike and Al-Quadin Muhammad.
The Lions were leading Chicago 10-0 at the time of the injury.
Paschal, 24, has taken on a big role for the Lions this season in the wake of injuries to Marcus Davenport and Aidan Hutchinson. Over nine games, he's tallied 18 tackles, 14 stops and 2 sacks in 358 snaps.
The former second-round pick has never played 400 snaps on defense in a season and is on track to easily set a new career-high for snaps.
Paschal was still on the sideline in the first half but didn't appear to have his helmet.
Detroit has weathered numerous injuries already this season and continued to persevere. That'll just have to continue if Paschal can't return.
