It’s that time of year when Madden drops its Super Bowl simulation and the peeps immediately start pretending they weren’t already opening their betting apps. One digital kickoff later, social feeds are flooded with hot takes, prop angles, and screenshots of depth charts being treated like classified intel. Laugh if you want—but Madden’s been right before, and that’s what makes this whole thing dangerous.
That context matters because Madden NFL 26 has now correctly predicted the Super Bowl winner in each of the last two seasons. If the simulation result holds again, this would mark three straight years of getting it right—fueling the annual argument over whether this is coincidence, luck, or something closer to digital prophecy.
This year’s matchup featured the Seattle Seahawks taking on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, and the sim wasted no time bringing the drama. Seattle opened with the ball and leaned heavily on Kenneth Walker III, who was ripping off chunk yards right out of the gate. Soon after, Sam Darnold hooked up with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a touchdown, pushing the Seahawks out to a 14–0 lead.
New England settled in before halftime but could only manage a field goal, sending the game to the break with Seattle up 14–3. The Patriots came out of the locker room with urgency, as Drake Maye sold the play-action and fired a touchdown pass to Kayshon Boutte, trimming the deficit to 14–10.
Momentum swung hard moments later. Darnold found AJ Barner in traffic, but the ball popped loose. Christian Gonzalez scooped it and went the distance, tying the game at 17–17. The Patriots added a field goal to take a 20–17 lead and forced a punt with under a minute left.
That’s when the sim leaned all the way in. Rashid Shaheed sparked the return to give Seattle favorable field position. Darnold hit Cooper Kupp for a key gain, then dumped one into the red zone as the clock ticked down. With three seconds left, Seattle handed it to Walker, who powered through five yards and stretched the ball across the goal line as time expired.
Final: Seahawks 23, Patriots 20.
Darnold earned Super Bowl MVP honors after throwing for 289 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. If Madden’s crystal ball stays hot, Seattle walks away with the Lombardi—and the peeps who trusted the simulation will be reminding everyone about it all offseason.
