The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are still licking their wounds after the brutal Super Bowl loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles. But time marches on ...
And so does fashion.
To some critics, a major change has occurred as there is speculation that the Chiefs' era of dominance is over with the loss.
We might argue two points.
One, given that Mahomes is still around and is only 29 ... the window remains very, very open.
And two, maybe the only thing that really needs to change is ... Patrick's trademark hairstyle?
According to a Twitter post from fan @lexiosborne, the Chiefs QB has moved away from the "iconic Mohawk and the signature 'Mahomes' hairstyle ... as she writes here ...
He’s said he wanted to do it for a while… I can’t believe he really did it! RIP iconic Mohawk and the signature ‘Mahomes’ hairstyle.

Patrick's hairstyle is so recognizable that it helped him get a Head and Shoulders shampoo commercial. And there is no need for that sort of thing to go away ... just like we bet that in terms of contention, KC isn't going away, either.
It is true that the Chiefs offense didn't always roll smoothly in 2024 and that it often looked disjointed ... with the defense (and some Mahomes magic) having to come to the rescue on a regular basis.
Still, they managed to grind out the wins ... 15 of them in the regular season before advancing to The Big Game.
Will the Super Bowl loss set back the Chiefs in their attempts to be a force in 2025?
We see it the other way around, with Mahomes and the Chiefs doing their offseason work in a way that is as focused as ever.
There will be changes, of course. Maybe big ones, as Travis Kelce might retire.
And obviously some fun little ones for the Chiefs' No. 15, too.
