The Packers at their best this season look capable of playing a brand of dominant complementary football that is capable of running away with the NFC North.

However, after watching what the Detroit Lions have managed to do since being blown out of Lambeau Field in Week 1, combined with the Packers’ inability to close out the past two games against the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys, limping into the bye week at 2-1-1, head coach Matt LaFleur and Green Bay have some pretty impactful questions to answer during the bye week.

Packers’ biggest question revealed

As the Packers look to emerge from the bye week and build some momentum, it starts with holding serve against the beleaguered Cincinnati Bengals.

Over at PackersWire, Zach Krause argues that the defense’s inability [so far] this season to create turnovers is the biggest question facing Green Bay.

“On defense, the Packers have just two takeaways,” Krause writes of Jeff Hafley’s defense . “And one was a gift from Joe Flacco late in the first half in Cleveland. Jeff Hafley’s group has been disruptive overall, but the takeaways need to start arriving. Turnovers are game-changing moments that set up scores and help win games. With a dominant pass rush, the Packers should be getting takeaways.”

Against the Bengals, the Packers will have a golden opportunity to put this worry to rest, against an offensive line that has been in shambles and backup quarterback Jake Browning who has already tossed five interceptions through his first 2.5 starts this season.
