Maxx Crosby is usually the last player opposing teams want to mess around with prior to games.

Crosby has made a living as one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers throughout the league. Every time he takes the field, he is looking to drive the Las Vegas Raiders defense and getting into the opposing backfield with regularity. The last thing teams want to do is provide an elite player with any more motivation, especially when they have a relentless motor like Crosby does.

The Chicago Bears are perfectly aware of the danger Crosby presents, and they are ensuring that they prepared with the proper respect.

The Bears are doing everything they can to prepare for Crosby on Sunday.

Prior to the game, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams made sure to recognize how much Crosby influenced their planning for the game.

“Someone you need to be aware of on every single play,” Williams told reporters about Crosby. “Understand the type of player that he is and how much he can affect a game and how much he does affect a game and a game plan.”

Williams was not the only Bear to sing Crosby’s praises, as head coach Ben Johnson also acknowledged the trouble that he is certain to give their offense.

“He’s a top-five player in this league on defense and probably doesn’t get the recognition he deserves,” Johnson said. “He’s all over the place, relentless, high motor. You’ve got to account for him and know where he’s at every single snap, or else he’ll get ya.”

With the Raiders defense looking to bounce back after a rough performance against the Washington Commanders, Crosby will look to lead the charge as usual.
