Miami Extends Aaron Brewer

Miami has extended one of its own – Aaron Brewer is receiving a 3-year, 52.5 million contract extension. This is off the back of a fantastic campaign where he received 2nd Team All-Pro honors as a center. He is entering his age-29 season and is locked in through his age-32 season.

Brewer is one of the better stories to come out of college recently. He was an undersized offensive lineman for Texas State University. Before going undrafted, he was asked to work out at tight end and fullback because of his limited size and strength. This did not stop him from pursuing his dream as a lineman, and he was signed to the Tennessee Titans following the 2020 NFL Draft. He made their active roster and started 1 game at left guard for the team. Brewer has since started every single game he appeared in between the Titans and Dolphins since the 2022 season.

Brewer signed a 3-year, $ 21 million deal with Miami prior to the 2024 season. He was expected to start at center, but was signed to a lower-end deal due to his inconsistent play with the Titans. It has been one of the best deals I’ve ever witnessed for the Dolphins, as Brewer has been fantastic for the last 2 years. 2025 was especially unique, as he was in talks to win the “Protector of the Year” award, being one of the finalists.

This new Miami regime is clearly interested in building the trenches. They selected lineman Kadyn Proctor in round 1 and signed versatile guard Jamaree Salyer in free agency. Brewer, now the 3rd-highest-paid center, being extended is a no-brainer if Miami wants to keep a consistent foundational piece on the offensive line.

Brewer is a great presence and is elite as a run blocker, especially in open space. He has been springing big runs for Achane ever since he signed with Miami, and now Jon Eric Sullivan locks him in for the rebuilding Dolphins. Next up on Miami’s list should be the extension of linebacker Jordyn Brooks.
