Micah Parsons’ Personal News Emerges Amid NFL Offseason

It has been a tumultuous several months for Micah Parsons. In August, he publicly outlined his desire to depart the Dallas Cowboys before eventually being traded to the Green Bay Packers before the start of the NFL regular season.

Parsons enjoyed a solid debut season with the Packers, accumulating 12.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, 41 tackles and forcing two fumbles across 14 regular-season games.

A non-contact ACL injury suffered against the Denver Broncos in December ultimately cut the defensive end’s campaign short, ruling him out of the remainder of the regular season and Green Bay’s NFC wild-card playoff defeat at the Chicago Bears.

His impact on the team was felt the moment he left the field in Week 15; the Packers lost each of the final five matchups in which Parsons did not play the entire game.

Despite his season-ending injury, the Penn State Nittany Lions product was still selected for the Pro Bowl. Parsons attended the all-star event and, much to the referee’s chagrin, entered the field of play on a motorized scooter he jokingly referred to as “Lightning McQueen.”

Now, after an intense campaign of highs and lows and amid continuous rehabilitation from an ACL tear, Parsons finally has some positive personal news.

As reported by Bleacher Report courtesy of Instagram account @namastebernedoodles, the Green Bay star welcomed a bernedoodle puppy to his family.

In the mini-collage post captioned “Micah’s new dog ❤️," Parsons can be seen holding a small bernedoodle, Uno, for a photo.

News of the latest addition to the Parsons’ household should come as no surprise. In January, the former Cowboys defender posted on X, “I want a Bernese mountain dog for my family! Any reviews?”

Within an hour, he posted an update with a clear verdict, “Okay I’ve decided on the bernedoodle! If anyone knows anyone please contact me!”

Renowned for being fond of man's best friend, Parsons owns another hound, named Brutus and bought an American bully in July called Scrap. So, when Uno enters the family home for the first time, the cuddly bernedoodle will have several friends waiting to greet him.

As Parsons continues his physical therapy and a return to competitive NFL action, Uno’s arrival will undoubtedly offer a welcome source of off-field comfort.
