Michael Jordan, Tom Brady among athletes with most forged signatures

You may want to think twice about purchasing memorabilia with Michael Jordan's autograph or, at least, do your research on the seller.

The NBA legend's autograph is the most forged signature of 2020 among all athletes, according to James Spence Authentication as reported by Action Network's Darren Rovell.

It's no surprise Jordan's autograph is the most forged, especially considering the success of his ESPN documentary "The Last Dance."

Plenty of Jordan memorabilia has popped up for sale over the last month, including a pair of his 1985 game-worn, signed Air Jordan 1's that were auctioned off by Sotheby's for $560,000. A pair of cleats from his days with the Chicago White Sox minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons sold for $93,000 and one of his game-worn jerseys are also up for auction.

Another athlete on this list, whose price for memorabilia likely skyrocketed following his free agency decision, is Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. Brady left the New England Patriots this offseason after 20 years and six Super Bowl titles.

Brady memorabilia may not be as expensive as Jordan's, but it's still going to cost you the big bucks. An autographed photo and handprint of Brady's is going for $7,500 and a helmet with his autograph is listed for $5,000.
