The Michigan State Spartans are on a recruiting season roll with the additions of 4-star Collin Campbell and 3-star Cory House.
On Friday, June 13, another class of 2026 recruit declared his commitment.
Quinn Buckey, the 247Sports Composite 3-star recruit from Bakersfield, Calif. is ranked No. 883 overall, No. 76 in his state, and No. 74 overall in offensive tackles. Buckey received 21 offers and had his most recent visit with Arizona on June 6. The Spartans also went up against UCLA and Vanderbilt for the lineman.
Ever since his visit with Michigan State back on April 11, East Lansing has stayed fresh in his mind.
"[Offensive line coach Jim Michalczik's] a super technical guy, which is good," Buckey said previously to SpartanMag. "At the end of the day, everyone is going to be 6'5"-plus, 300 pounds-plus, so the technique is what really separates you on the field."
Buckey's the third offensive lineman to join head coach Jonathan Smith's recruit crew, alongside Campbell and Eli Bickel. He is the 12th commitment the Spartans have received from the class of 2026. He also joins House, Kayd Coffman, Braylon Hodge, Eddie Whiting, Joey Caudill, KJ Deriso, Brayden Thomas, Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy, and Christopher Knauls.
"I'm fired up to be part of what they're building in East Lansing. Go Green!" Buckey wrote in his commitment post on X.

The class of 2026 recruit comes from a family of college football players, according to Spartans Wire. His father played for Stanford as an offensive lineman and his older brothers, Zach and Grant, play as defensive linemen at Stanford and UCLA, respectively.
While Smith is slowly building his repertoire on the recruiting end, things are simultaneously looking up for the Michigan State offensive line.
