Minnesota Vikings superstar can reach another milestone on Sunday, put his name in record books again
USA TODAY Sports

It's pretty normal for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson to receive accolades. He is the best wide receiver in the National Football League after all. He is the holder of many team and National Football League records and is primed to put his name in the record books once again.

Going into week two, Jefferson has 396 career receptions and could become the third-fastest player to reach 400 receptions. He would be doing it in just 62 games. The only two players who have done it faster are former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

That's not the only accolade Jefferson is chasing on Sunday. He can tie Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Lance Allworth as the fastest player to reach 6,000 receiving yards with 42 yards against the 49ers.

It likely won't be easy for Jefferson to get there on Sunday with Jordan Addison potentially missing the game due to injury. Then again, it is Jefferson who is the best wide receiver in the league today.

Sunday could be a big deal for Jefferson, who has done nothing but blow by every expectation set in front of him.
