DeMarvion Overshown is a rising star for the Dallas Cowboys after having a fantastic 2024 campaign that was cut short due to a devastating knee injury. Overshown suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and PCL in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In 13 games last season, Overshown recorded 90 tackles, five sacks, and an interception.
During the team’s OTA periods this offseason, he’s been seen working with the rehab group on the sidelines and is optimistic about where he is in his recovery.
"It's going real good, I think it really couldn't be any better," Overshown said. "If it was better, I'd probably be out there playing right now. Where I'm at in my rehab, in my process, it's where I'm supposed to be plus some."
Although Overshown is optimistic, he recognizes the long journey ahead towards recovery. After suffering a torn ACL ahead of his rookie season in 2023, Overshown understands the patience required to return to full health.
"I know it's a process; it's something we're not rushing just because I look good," Overshown said. "There's no need to rush the process. I'm going to come back when I'm 100%, when I'm ready, when I know I can tough the field and not have to look down and worry about my knee."
While the Cowboys anticipate Overshown to make his return to the field at some point this season, he is also making headlines off the field.
