Myles Garrett Makes Strong Claims About Micah Parsons Before Browns-Packers Game

Since joining the NFL in 2017, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has established himself as one of the league's best pass rushers.

On Sunday, he will look to be a big contributor in helping the Browns secure their first win of the 2025 season, going up against the Green Bay Packers.

Of course, Green Bay has established itself as a true Super Bowl contender, and the acquisition of EDGE Micah Parsons has been a big reason why.

Though they won't be on the field at the same time, Parsons and Garrett playing in the same game is still intriguing, as many believe one of these two is the best pass rusher in the league.

Before the game, Garrett made a very strong statement and him and Parsons, saying, "I think we're two of the very best [pass rushers] of this generation," according to ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi.

He certainly makes a point, as Garrett boasts six Pro Bowls, four First-Team All-Pro selections and even took home Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Combining that with 106 sacks, his presence is among the most intimidating in the NFL.

On the other hand, Parsons' 54 sacks, four Pro Bowl appearances and two First-Team All-Pro honors since 2021 show he is on pace to accomplish just as much as Garrett.

Their performance on the field has also led to massive paydays, as Garrett inked a four-year, $160 million extension this offseason with the Browns.

However, that would be topped by Parsons' four-year, $186 million extension he signed with the Packers as part of the trade from the Dallas Cowboys.

Obviously, there's no definitive way to answer who is better between the two, but there's no doubt that Garrett's high praise for himself and Parsons is warranted by their impact and numbers.

Though several other players, such as Pittsburgh Steelers’ T.J. Watt, San Francisco 49ers’ Nick Bosa and Las Vegas Raiders’ Maxx Crosby, just to name a few, could also be inserted into that conversation.
