The New Orleans Saints are back to work. They're getting in voluntary practices at OTAs, and plenty of important players are involved.
At the top, the quarterback competition has kicked off for a new offense under a fresh coaching staff in New Orleans. The talent around the Saints got to spend time with an NFL legend this week, too.
The legendary quarterback was in attendance for Saints practice on Friday. New Orleans' social media account made sure to highlight his appearance, for good reason.

You have to imagine he shared plenty of knowledge and insight for the young quarterbacks on the Saints roster. Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler are locked into a QB competition that also includes Jake Haener, according to head coach Kellen Moore.
Haener is dealing with an injury at the moment, but it is hard to imagine he will win the job, regardless of that obstacle. Both Shough and Rattler have had strong starts to OTAs, showing plenty of athletic upside.
Before Shough even hits the field in a game for the black and gold, he already joined Manning in some intriguing franchise history.
With the selection of Shough at 40th overall, the Saints broke a streak that dates back to 1971. That was the last time they spent a first or second-round pick on a quarterback. That QB was Archie Manning.
It'll be interesting to hear from Manning, potentially, in the future on Shough's game.
