NFL analyst floats idea of Andrew Whitworth returning to Bengals

Bengals fans watched former Cincinnati star Andrew Whitworth hoist the Lombardi Trophy as a Ram last February. Could the current Amazon football analyst do the same for the Bengals in February 2023?

In the wake of tackle La’el Collins’ season-ending knee injury , Cincinnati finds itself with a hole on the offensive line  — a hole NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager thinks the retired Whitworth can fill.

Whitworth's Amazon broadcasting contract ends with this week's "Thursday Night Football" game, opening a door for him to end his retirement.

During his 11 years with the Bengals, Whitworth was a fan favorite, The four-time Pro Bowl tackle was nominated several times for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award — ultimately winning it with the Rams in 2021

In Cincinnati, Whitworth became one of the NFL's best offensive lineman, but he never won a Super Bowl with the Bengals.

On a podcast recently, he hinted about coming back to become the NFL's all-time winningest offensive lineman.

The Bengals have a big hole. Perhaps Whitworth is the big man to fill it.
