Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has had an incredible NFL career thus far. Heading into Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, Prescott had thrown for 32,793 yards and 223 touchdowns with 85 interceptions in 127 career regular-season games en route to three Pro Bowl appearances.

Prescott was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft and started games right away, as he won the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award that season.

After missing nine games last year due to injury, the 32-year-old has been back to his phenomenal self so far in his 10th season, as he was second among all NFL quarterbacks in passing yards through the first five games.

Prescott led the Cowboys to a 2-2-1 record through five games this year, as he completed an incredible 71.3% of his passes for 1,356 yards and ten touchdowns with three interceptions. He had one score on the ground.

On Sunday, Prescott achieved a major career milestone that put him in the same conversation as two of the best Cowboys quarterbacks ever.

The NFL announced that he passed Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Troy Aikman for second on the Cowboys' all-time passing yards list, who threw for 32,942 yards in his 12-year career with Dallas.

Prescott is now just over 1,000 yards away from passing Tony Romo, who played 13 years with the Cowboys, for the most passing yards in team history.

Prescott continued his excellent play through the first three quarters against the Panthers on Sunday, leading to this milestone. He was 20-of-25 passing for 214 yards and three touchdowns heading into the fourth quarter.

With 12:20 remaining in the game, the Cowboys trailed the Panthers 27-24 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
