Earlier this week Tom Brady addressed the metaphorical elephant in the room in regards to him being part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and the lead analyst for Fox's NFL coverage.
"Paranoia runs amok in the National Football League, all these teams were convinced you were gonna get the secret sauce to their teams and advantage the Raiders with this whole thing," he told NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth when asked about the rules forced against him during the 2024 season.
During the 2024 campaign Brady wasn't allowed to speak with players and coaches in production meetings, but that's about to change.
On Tuesday, Sept. 2 the NFL confirmed Brady will be allowed to take part in production meetings while speaking with players and coaches virtually.
"Brady can participate virtually when it comes to speaking with coaches and players. Traditional production meetings take place either in person at a hotel or facility (preferred) and virtually," media insider Richard Deitsch revealed.
Brady admitted he believes he should have been allowed in production meetings last season as well.
“I think me asking questions in a production meeting is no different than a media member asking a question in a weekly press conference. They’re gonna answer it the same way. It’s nice for my crew to have me involved because, as a cohesive unit, and what we’re trying to do, that’s going to be a real positive,” he said.
While he's allowed to speak with the players and coaches this season, he's still banned from one activity that most other analysts are allowed to partake in. According to the NFL, the seven-time Super Bowl champion isn't allowed at the home team's practice facility.
Deitsch revealed every other analyst he's aware of is allowed to visit practice ahead of the game.
