LANDOVER, Md. — The Washington Commanders took a steady, measured approach in the 2026 NFL draft, earning a “B” grade from EasySportz’s in-house NFL analyst in its team-by-team evaluation.

Washington opened by selecting defensive standout Sonny Styles in the first round, adding a versatile playmaker to the defense. The Commanders followed with wide receiver Antonio Williams in the third, addressing offensive needs with a reliable target.

Washington added Joshua Josephs in the fifth before selecting running back Kaytron Allen and Matt Gulbin in the sixth, then closed with quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis in the seventh to round out the class.

EasySportz’s analyst praised the class for its balance and value, highlighting Allen as a particularly strong pick with the potential to outperform his draft position. The report noted Washington effectively added contributors across multiple positions without overreaching.

National evaluations reflected a similar outlook, with analysts pointing to a solid, needs-based strategy and dependable selections throughout.

Overall, the Commanders’ draft was viewed as a well-rounded, efficient class with upside across the roster — reflected in the analyst’s B grade.
